Associate Engineer occupies the most important position of middle level manpower pyramid comprising of a team of an Engineer, an Associate Engineer and a skilled / semi-skilled worker. He translates the ideas of design, fabricates and tests various Engineering projects under the guidance of a professional Engineer. Thus, an Associate Engineer holds a key position in any engineering concern or department.

Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E) Courses (three years) are academically equivalent to F.Sc. (Pre-Engg.). Diploma holders are eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Pre-Engg.). They are eligible for admission to B.Sc/B.Sc. Engg. B. Tech classes and for a commission in the Pakistan Army, Navy and PAF etc.

After Successful completion of Diploma of Associate Engineer Course, the students are employed as Supervisors, Foremen, shift Engineers, Sub Agriculturalz Overseers, Farm Managers, Junior Instructions and workshop Superintendent etc. in various Govt. Semi-Government / Private Organization of the country and abroad. They also have bright chances of migrating and finding good jobs in other countries.
